Personal Sacrifice - Print

This print captures a drawing I created during my nighttime college class while still in high school—a challenging yet rewarding experience. Our first project focused on the technique of "breathing lines," which involves varying the weight of a line from heavy to light and back again. Juggling my responsibilities as a senior, working part-time at a diner, and participating in various after-school activities made this project particularly significant. I titled the piece "Personal Sacrifice" as it symbolizes the beginning of my journey, where I learned that moving forward often requires us to give up parts of ourselves. This artwork reflects my dedication and commitment to honing my skills and pursuing my dreams, serving as a reminder of the balance between passion and the sacrifices necessary for growth.
